WAP100a wireless access point (wireless AP) is available with features specifically designed for the needs of industrial users, such as dual RF support for enhanced redunancy and reliability, Turbo Roaming for minimal switchover lag, waterproof housing and connectors. Standard features include LAN port, IEEE 802.11b/g operation, AP/bridge/client modes, and -35° to 70° operating temperatures.
The wireless AP usually connects to a router, and can relay data between the wireless devices (such as computers or printers) and wired devices on the network.
Industrial grade wireless AP is rugged, with a metal cover and a DIN rail mount. During operations they can tolerate a wider temperature range, high humidity and exposure to water, dust, and oil.
